Children’s illustration πŸ‘Ά

Table of Contents

Hey,

Today I want to talk with you about the children’s illustration. To be honest, I love to paint this type of illustration. It’s always so fun to create cute and colorful characters or scenery for the children’s books. You can use any medium like watercolor, colored pencils, gouache, or mix them together to create such wonderful illustrations.

In a few words, children’s illustration means the use of simplifying shapes, working with colors, contrast and at the same time objects and characters should be recognizable. It’s really difficult to achieve all these parameters. But on the other hand, it allows you to use your imagination and experiment with proportions, shapes, and colors.

🧑 Waterolor

This piece of charming turtle I painted in a few stages. I used mostly watercolor and at the final stage a little bit of gouache for accents.

Children’s illustrations of a sloth and panda. I painted these illustrations for my baby Leo. He always smiles when he looks at my work in this style. It’s so inspiring! And I am always happy to create this kind of illustrations.
